HD 2       Reduces the user fee of the animal quarantine station
        by an
(SB 2134   unspecified percentage of the user fee rate that
        existed on
SD 1)      January 1, 2000. Forgives the moneys to be deposited
        from the animal quarantine special fund into the
        general fund. Appropriates funds from the general fund
        for deposit into the animal quarantine special fund
        (Ito, Garcia).

HD 1       Exempts from GET amounts received from foreign
(SB 2156)  diplomats and consular officials. Exempts from TAT
        accommodations furnished to foreign diplomats and
        consular officials. Exempts from use tax property,
        services, or contracting imported by foreign diplomats
        and consular officials (Say, Hamakawa, Abinsay,
        Goodenow).

HB 1881    RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS                TIA, JDC
HD 2       Amends driving impaired statutes to consolidate and

 
 
        conform offenses relating to operating a vehicle while
        using an intoxicant. Makes conforming amendments (Say,
        Oshiro, M., Case, Yonamine, Ahu Isa, Hiraki, Garcia,
        Arakaki, Herkes, Abinsay, Morita, Lee, Luke, Kanoho,
        Yamane, Saiki, Cachola, Catalani, Kawakami, Suzuki,
        Menor, Takumi, Souki, Hamakawa, Kaho'ohalahala,
        Schatz, Takamine, Espero, Morihara, Chang, Stegmaier,
        Yoshinaga, Ito, Goodenow).


HB 2354    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FIFTIETH      TIA, WAM
HD 2       ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION OF THE KOREAN WAR COMMISSION
(SB 2135)  Appropriates funds for the 50th Anniversary
        Commemoration of the Korean War Commission (Garcia
        (BR)).

HB 2243    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR VETERANS          TIA, WAM
HD 2       CEMETERIES
(SB 2012)  Appropriates funds for maintenance at veterans
        cemeteries in the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui
        (Chang, Kawakami, Morita, Morihara, Hamakawa, Rath,
        Kanoho, Kaho'ohalahala, Ahu Isa).

HB 2457    RELATING TO VETERANS LOANS                    TIA, WAM
(SB 2798)  Repeals provisions relating to the Veterans Loan
        Program (Say (BR)).

HB 2562    RELATING TO THE STATE FIRE COUNCIL                 TIA
(SB 2903)  Allows the county fire chief to name designees for
        certain functions and responsibilities (Say (BR)).

HB 2563    RELATING TO THE STATE FIRE COUNCIL                 TIA
(SB 2904)  Allows the State Fire Council to coordinate statewide
        training, data collection, and contingency planning
        needs for firefighters (Say (BR)).

hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at

least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and

 
 
 
 
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
